Periodic Inspection and Test (EICR)

The Electricity at Work Regulations state that all electrical systems and equipment used in the working environment should be in a safe condition.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (formerly known as a Periodic Inspection and Test) is an inspection of the condition of an existing electrical installation, to identify (in order of priority) any deficiencies against the National Safety Standard for Electrical Installations. Dependant on establishment an EICR should take place within the following timeframes:

  • Commercial Installations – 5 years
  • Industrial Installations – 3 years
  • Buildings open to the public – 1 year

At dtx electrical we can provide planned testing regime and bespoke EICR packages to suit all requirements, ensuring minimal disruption to your day to day business and ensuring total compliance at all times.
